Did you see the carnival scene at The Huntington Beach Pier Plaza area recently?

Huntington Beach Mayor Pro Tem Pat Burns said: “From what I have heard, the filming was for the beginning of a Disney production.” The trucks parked at the Plaza had the name Buena Vista Productions on them.

“We are excited that this major production company chose Huntington Beach to film and we look forward to welcoming more film crews,” said Sophia Valdivia, Visit Huntington Beach director of Tourism Development.

Tina Viray, co-owner of Huntington Beach Surf City Store, which sits directly on the Huntington Beach Pier overlooking Pier Plaza where a Ferris wheel and movie set was temporarily constructed,  said: “We appreciate any activity at Pier Plaza that results in a positive impression of our city, making Huntington Beach a fun and safe place to visit.” Viray’s shop on the Pier has a front and center view of year-round, exciting events and activities such as the  4th of July Parade and Fireworks  to the U.S. Open of Surfing  Aug. 3-11, 2024.
