Griffins Basketball All-Stars, from left to right, Kassidy Beach, Coach Maya De Anda, and Kayli Liew following the 57th Annual “North vs. South” girls 12th Grade All-Star Game played on Saturday, April 27, at Cypress College. De Anda coached the North team and her two Griffin players in the exhibition game that was close until late in the second half when the North fell behind and lost 58-74. Not pictured, Cypress High All-Star Isabella Caceres, also played for the girls North team. On the Boys’ North team, Griffin All-Star Dilayehu Wempe scored 16 points to help lead the North to a 90-79 win. Cypress High All-Stars Michael Wright and Jonah Kim also played on the boys North team.
