A fundraiser last Sunday at Rifle Supply raised $6,000 for the family of fallen Huntington Beach Police Officer Nicholas Vella. More than 100 people attended the event at 16291 Gothard St., in Huntington Beach. Business owner John Koukios wanted to help the family of the popular, veteran officer, who died last month in a police helicopter accident in Newport Beach.
“It was great to support the Vella Family,” said Terry Tintle, Beach Operations supervisor in Huntington Beach, who purchased several items.”The HB Community is awesome and comes together to help those in need.” The fundraiser featured a Classic Car Show and food. “100% of the purchases at the store went to the family,” said Raul Rodriguez of Rifle Supply, which offers pistols, rifles, shotguns, gunsmithing and custom-built items.
