THURSDAY, APRIL 22
• Driving Under the Influence (Priority 2)—9:12 a.m.—Seal Beach Boulevard and Landing Avenue–The reporting person said that a woman driving a black BMW kept moving and stopping without reason. Police pulled her over; she was not under the influence.
• Suspicious Person(s) (Priority 2)—10:04 a.m.—College Park Drive and Harvard Lane–The reporting person described a large homeless encampment near her residence off the 605 freeway and 22 West. Caltrans notified.
• Disturbing the Peace (Priority 2)—11:23 a.m.—Main Street (Old Town)–A woman consistently screaming and cursing while sitting on her patio. Police checked on her.
• Disturbing the Peace (Priority 2)—12:59 p.m.—Main Street (Old Town)–An employee called the police due to a woman inside the store yelling and disturbing other customers. The woman said she was not a transient and was simply looking for a job; police counseled her and gave her a bus pass out of town.
• Grand Theft (Priority 2)—1:36 p.m.—Pacific Coast Highway–Jiangun Li, 42, was arrested on suspicion of identity theft. Police were unable to locate a Mandarin speaker to speak with Li.
• Grand Theft Report (Priority 3)—4:29 p.m.—Dogwood Avenue (College Park East)–A catalytic converter was taken from a Toyota Prius the night before. Report taken.
• Welfare Check (Priority 3)—5:44 p.m.—Marina Drive and First Street–A man was found face down on the sidewalk. Police were unable to locate.
• Suspicious Person (Priority 2)—6:54 p.m.—Saint Andrews Drive and Glenview Road (Leisure World)–Four reporting persons said that a man was walking around the area holding a handgun. The man reportedly attempted to shoot at a coyote. Police were unable to locate a suspect.
• Welfare Check (Priority 2)—8:25 p.m.—Cottonwood Lane–The reporting person’s neighbor was passed out in a van holding some wine. The engine was not running.
• Grand Theft (Priority 1)—9:45 p.m.—16th Street and Landing Avenue (Old Town)–Two reporting persons said they witnessed a catalytic converter being stolen and the suspects driving away in a SUV with its lights off. Report taken.
• Arrest—Second Street and Studebaker Road — Robert Hill, 32, arrested on suspicion of possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia. No further details were provided in the log.
