Seal Beach’s Old Town Chili Cook-off is back for its seventh year with even more participating restaurants and delicious chilies to try. DEVOUR will be held on Feb. 1, from 2 to 5 p.m., at participating restaurants on Main Street.
Tickets, in the form of a passport, will be sold for $20 to the public at Hennessy’s Grill starting at 11 a.m. Tasters will be given a passport of participating restaurants and released to do a “Main Street Chili Crawl.” At your leisure you can visit each participating restaurant stopping to grab a beverage or two as well. Tasters will then return to Hennessy’s Grill no later than 4:30 p.m. located at 143 Main Street for the awards ceremony where the passport holders will vote for their favorite chili, People’s Choice.
Restaurant participants also will be voted on by a panel of judges to crown the Best Chili Of The Year and display the Devour trophy in their establishment for the next twelve months. Raffle tickets can also be purchased for $5 each or 6 for $20. allowing you a chance to win great giveaways from participating restaurants.
