Cynthia Rule of Huntington Harbour has joined the famous Cake Box team as executive manager. The 47-year-old business—whose pies and desserts are featured at Sunset Beach’s Harbour House Restaurant and have delighted customers at Disneyland’s Club 33 and American Idol—was created by Master Pastry Chef Paul Gauweiler, 82, who continues to create his bakery magic.
Gauweiler is known internationally for his award-winning Baumkuchen tree cakes, Stollen German fruit cake bread & Coconut Macarons. Rule has added Jewish Challah Bread, sourdough bread, cake pops and other items as well as re-designed the bakery’s exterior and interior.
She has increased the staff with Head Cake Decorator Marie Parrish and Assistant Cake Decorator Honde Dane.
