The Seal Beach Police Department has deployed a two-officer enforcement team starting on Memorial Day and continuing through the Labor Day weekend. “Seal Beach Police Officers Erin Enos and Jordan Mirakian will be patrolling throughout the city, Main Street, and the beach area in anticipation of the increased crowds and summer activity. We want everyone to have a safe summer season,” said Interim Police Chief Joe Miller.
The officers will be riding two new Pedego Electric bicycles purchased through a grant donation from the Seal Beach Police Foundation, in partnership with the generous support of Jim and Judy Watson, Run Seal Beach, the Seal Beach Lions Club and the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce. Speaking on behalf of the Foundation and partners, Foundation President Greg Phillips said, “This is exactly the kind of community collaboration that makes our community special. The fabric of our city – individuals, non-profits and business – have come together in support of our town and public safety.”
Officer Enos was born and raised in Northern California. She graduated from the Tulare / Kings Counties Police Academy in 2002 and began her career in law enforcement with the CSU, Long Beach Police Department. In 2011 she joined the Seal Beach Police Department. She is a member of the Seal Beach Police Honor Guard and an Investigator on the Serious Traffic Accident Response Team. When Enos is off duty she studies and teaches the martial arts. She also enjoys camping and rock climbing at Joshua Tree National Park with her family.
Officer Mirakian was born and raised in Los Alamitos. After graduating from the San Diego Police Academy in 1998, Mirakian began his law enforcement career in San Diego working at San Diego State University and San Diego Community College District. In 2015, he joined the Laguna Beach Police Department where he was the Economic Crimes detective and a member of the department Honor Guard. Mirakian transferred to the Seal Beach Police Department in December 2018. When Mirakian is off duty he is involved in martial arts and his hobbies include traveling and spending time with his family.
