Seal Beach native Dr. Jeffrey Hooykaas has opened a new full-service animal hospital in Seal Beach, on Pacific Coast Highway in the Zoeter Place, across from Pavilion’s.

Dr. Hooykaas is bringing his extensive education and 11 years of veterinary medical experience at Corona del Mar Animal Hospital back to Seal Beach, a community he and his family live in and love.

Jeff was raised in Rossmoor and graduated from Los Alamitos High School.

He decided to study veterinary medicine at a young age hoping that one day he might have the opportunity to open his own practice in Seal Beach, a dream now fulfilled.

With these aspirations, he went on to earn his B.S. from UC Santa Barbara and doctorate from the Ohio State School of Veterinary Medicine.

Seal Beach Animal Hospital offers veterinary medical and grooming services at its state of the art facility.

The hospital layout and aesthetics are being designed to create a feel-good environment that inspires and promotes both wellness and comfort for pets and their owners.

In addition to the most modern clinic, Dr. Hooykaas recruited and staffed the hospital with a highly talented team, who together have decades of combined experience and offer exceptional care and customer service.

The animal hospital provides full veterinary medical services, including surgery, dentistry, wellness and prevention, internal medicine, grooming, laser therapy, pharmacy, and diet products.

Dr. Hooykaas is very well known in the community, so much that he was voted “Best of Seal Beach 2016” veterinarian in the recent Sun reader poll.

When asked about bringing his years of professional experience back to his hometown, Jeff smiled. “It’s a dream come true. I feel so fortunate and excited to become a local resource that provides care to the pets of our friends and neighbors in this community. It’s going to be a great new chapter.”

Jeff lives in Seal Beach with his wife Corrie, two daughters Presley and Parker, and lucky pets Cheeto and Roxy. When he is not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, snowboarding, fishing, camping and, of course, surfing (Seal Beach is his favorite break).

You can visit www.sealbeachanimalhospital.com for more details and stay connected by following them on Facebook and Instagram. The hospital is accepting new patients and appointments, and also invites the community to stop by and visit the new facility any time.
