Seal Beach US Bank robbed

Police say this man is a suspect in a Nov. 3 Seal Beach bank robbery.

A bank located inside an Old Town Seal Beach supermarket was robbed at gunpoint Thursday afternoon, Nov. 3.  No one was physically injured during the robbery. Police are seeking two suspects.

A caller reported the robbery at about 2:27 p.m., according to a statement issued by Seal Beach Police Sgt. John Scott. The caller said the US Bank, located within the Vons/Pavilions grocery store on Pacific Coast Highway, had just been robbed at gunpoint.

The caller said two suspects had just fled the store in an unknown direction.

Officers from the Seal Beach, the Los Alamitos and Cypress police departments immediately responded and searched for the suspects. Unfortunately, no one was arrested.

Witnesses provided police with the following suspect descriptions:

Suspect #1—male, white, mid-30s, wearing a black T-shirt and a tan, zippered long-sleeve jacket. He was wearing baggy blue jeans, a dark colored baseball cap and dark colored shoes. The suspect had a mustache and long sideburns. He was approximately 5 feet 8 inches and weighed about 180 pounds.

Suspect #2—male, appeared to be Hispanic, mid- to late- 30s. He wore a dark colored T-shirt and a dark colored long sleeve, no collar shirt or sweater, blue jeans, a black baseball cap, dark sunglasses and black shoes. He was approximately 5 feet 7 inches and weighed about 180 pounds.

Suspect#3—male, appeared to be Hispanic, mid-30s,             5 feet 8 inches, heavy build, bald head with possibly dark brown hair and wearing a white T-shirt. He drove a 1999 or 2000 Ford pick up truck with an extended cab, dark blue in color and paper license plates.
