Man stabbed on Seal Beach Pier
A man was stabbed while fishing on the Seal Beach Pier in the early hours of Monday, July 19, according to a statement issued by the Seal Beach Police Department.
He was treated and released from the hospital later that day.
At approximately 1:52 a.m., July 19, Seal Beach officers stopped a vehicle that was being driven erratically and speeding on Seal Beach Boulevard, according to the police statement.
The driver asked for paramedics to treat a passenger who had been attacked.
According to police, the victim was fishing from the pier when he was stabbed in the chest with an unknown weapon after having an argument with other fishermen.
Officers checked the pier as well as the parking areas in the old town area, but were unable to locate the suspect or suspects.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his wounds and released.
