Crema Artisan Bakery in Seal Beach will be one of 55 bakeries participating in The Bread Bakers Guild of America’s 2nd Annual International Bakery Open House on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Guild member bakeries in 27 US states and three Canadian provinces will take part in the open house, which is part of the Guild’s 2012 “Cereal Series: Going With the Grain.”

The open house program is a way to bring communities to their bakeries, as well as to champion the cause of locally made bread.

Crema Artisan Bakery, one of the newest additions to Main Street Seal Beach, is tying the open house into special bakery tours, a baguette baking class and extensive sampling to the public.

“My dream is to simply make great bread and share it with as many people as I can,” said Tarit Tanjasiri, owner and founder. “The bakery is that dream becoming real.  I invite you to come and experience our bread, which hopefully will delight, amaze and maybe even surprise you a little bit.”

The Crema Cafe is a European-inspired restaurant on Main Street Seal Beach.

The bakery offers items produced in the classic artisan style, with great care and craftsmanship.

From baguettes and sourdough loaves to cookies and macaroons all items are baked fresh onsite.

The Crema Café offers pet-friendly al fresco dining in a patio or inside meals. For more information, visit cremacafe.com.
