In these challenging times of health care reform, it is increasingly important that individuals and small businesses seek the expert advice of reputable companies with years of experience to see them successfully through the maze.

One such company is our business profile this month, Bursinger Insurance Solutions and its newly created division, www.EasyHealthApps.com, 232-1/2 16th St., Seal Beach, (562) 519-5301, owned by Frank and Terri Bursinger.

Bursinger Insurance Solutions had been successfully growing for 20 years with Frank at the helm.  With the advent of his marriage to Terri in January, her extensive insurance background, developed as an office manager for a medical company and handling all their HR and health insurance issues, came in handy.

As Terri said: “It made me feel so good that I could help people understand and protect themselves, I thought I should look in that direction for  a more focused career and now I have it! I recently was meeting with a single mom who needed affordable insurance (I  can relate to that,  as I was a single mom, too, with limited means) for her daughter who was going off to college within days and she was moving to Texas. We worked hard, found a policy that would cover her out of state and were able to get her set up immediately.”

Terri also has an MBA in business administration and a BA in finance. With these credentials, she was a natural to be integrated into Frank’s business and under her direction in keeping with the ever growing use of the Internet for all personal issues, EasyHealthApps.com was developed.

Eighty percent of their clients use face-to-face service, but in a very short time, 20 percent are using their web site and that area of their business is booming.

“We offer the combination of web shopping and personalized customer service, because we are aware that a growing segment of consumers want to ‘shop’ insurance via the internet,” Frank said. “However, there are still many advantages to using an agent so we always want to be available to any prospective client.”

“We make it a point to personally get to know our clients and their needs whether they prefer face-to-face, phone or e-mail contact.

“This gives us the privilege of guiding them through the insurance buying process, which can be complicated. Our ultimate goal is to help them find the most cost-effective plan for their needs.”

Their company offers Individual, Family and Small Business Health Insurance; Senior products; Long Term Care; Critical Illness; Dental Insurance; Disability and Annuities. “With the increasing senior population, I cannot over-emphasize the importance of Long Term Care insurance,” Frank said. “Personal wealth is being destroyed by the health care needs of the elderly.”

Frank brings another area of expertise to his company. He is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS, which permits him to prepare taxes and do audit representation and currently plies this practice.

“A tax background gives me the distinct capability of seeing advantages or disadvantages of various insurance and annuity approaches for clients,” Frank said.

“I’m a firm believer in that my clients fully understand their policies for as we all know from experience, ‘the large print giveth and the small print taketh away,’” he said.
