The Fourth Annual Pre-Chanukah event at Seal Beach will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 2 at the Seal Beach Pier.
Historically, Chabad’s Menorah at Seal Beach has attracted hundreds to its celebration.
The event will feature performances by the award-winning Los Alamitos High School Choir and the Leo Chelyapov Klezmer Band. The event highlight includes a grand menorah lighting led by Rabbi Shmuel Marcus of Rossmoor. Local leaders will be honored with lighting a candle on the 6-foot menorah.
Last year, local resident Helen Fox lit the menorah in honor of her late husband Moe. Traditional hot latkas will be handed out to all. Activate Drinks a co-sponsor of the event will provide free refreshments. The event is open to the public and there is no admission charge.
