Romanian Missionary Garage Sale raises $1,800

Money to help orphans

Refuge Calvary Chapel of Huntington Beach just held it’s Third Annual Romanian Missionary Garage Sale,  two of which were held in Rossmoor and the third in Westminster, across from the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station. The sales raised $1,800 to help orphaned and abandoned children in Romania.

Sponsored by Refuge Center Care Team from Huntington Beach, Dwight Karr (missions director) said they make yearly trips to identify and assist Romanian children in need.

The Costi Keenan Family seeks to do this work in the name of the Father, in the power of The Holy Spirit and the Love of Jesus.

Refuge Discipleship Leader Michael Rogers said: “When one of my daughters went to Romania,  it was a life changing experience for her to see all of the kids growing up without parents. Now she is a mother of 3 girls, and one of the boys that was an orphan there was adopted by the Missionary Family leading the facility.
